When it comes to adoption, there are so many questions that come to mind. Between picking an agency, creating an adoption plan, finding an adoptive family — and everything in between — the process can be a struggle to get through.
Here at Adoption Choices of Oklahoma, we know that the adoption process involves a LOT of questions. However, we want you to know that throughout the entire process, we will always be here to answer any questions you might have. This is why we’ve compiled this list of questions to ask our Oklahoma adoption agency in hopes of easing any worries you have about our adoption centers in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

Yes, Adoption Choices of Oklahoma is a licensed adoption agency in the state of Oklahoma. Our agency has assisted birth parents, children and adoptive families in Oklahoma for over 19 years.
- WHAT TYPE OF ADOPTIONS DO YOU DO?
Our agency specializes in domestic infant adoptions. We have networks locally, regionally and nationally to help communicate with expectant parents. We also specialize in open adoptions, which means that there is communication between the birth mothers and adoptive family after the adoption process is complete.
However, we know that every adoption is different, and expectant mothers have different levels of communication that they are comfortable with. Your caseworker will work with you to determine what communication level will be best for you and help you connect with an adoptive family who matches that same level of openness you are hoping for.
- DO YOU DISCRIMINATE AGAINST RELIGION OR SEXUAL PREFERENCES?

- ARE YOUR CASEWORKERS EXPERIENCED? ARE THEY SUPPORTIVE?
Absolutely! Our caseworkers have years of experience within the adoption field. Throughout your entire journey, you will work with the same caseworker. You will get to know them just as much as they will get to know you. Whether it is an easy or hard journey, the caseworkers will be there to support you throughout the entire process. From the moment you first reach out until after you give birth, the caseworker will be there to support you and to advocate for you as well. You will never be alone!
- DO I HAVE TO PAY TO PLACE MY BABY UP FOR ADOPTION? CAN THE AGENCY HELP WITH LIVING EXPENSES?
No and yes! As a birth mother, no, you do not have to pay to place your baby up for adoption. Yes, our agency can provide support for court-approved living expenses for birth mothers in the state of Oklahoma. Living expenses could include anything from rent to transportation to medical bills. Your caseworker will work with you to approach the courts and figure out what expenses will be covered during your pregnancy.
- HOW QUICK WILL YOU RESPOND TO QUESTIONS I HAVE?
Our entire team is incredible with how fast they respond to questions and conversations. Early on, you will receive the contact information for your specific caseworker. They are very reliable and will get back to you quickly with all the information you need and more. Never be afraid to reach out to them! They want you to feel comfortable with every decision you are making and they will assure you that no question is “too stupid.”
